Why Most Wills And Estate Planning Are Unnecessarily Complicated

Do you own a house, a business, or any kind of assets? Are you getting married, in a relationship, or dealing with divorce? You need a will. But it doesn’t need to be a complicated estate will. In fact, if it’s longer than 2-3 pages, it’s not properly written. And probably overpriced.

Likewise, if you need to execute or contest a will, it doesn’t need to create family tension. Our expert estate wills team will guide you through the process to get the best outcome with the least stress or family tension. We make wills and estates simple — here’s how:

Frequently Asked Questions About Wills and Estates

Who should have a will?

Everyone who owns an asset (especially a property or a business) or is in a relationship.

What should you include in your will?

Your will does not need to be complicated. But it does need to be complete. List all your assets along with details of your chosen beneficiaries. You may also like to list any special wishes for your funeral.

How much does it cost to get a will?

The price of a will depends on the complexity. As a general rule, you should expect to invest from $750 – $1500 (excluding gst and expenses). Perhaps a more critical question is: How much turmoil will your loved ones suffer if you don’t have a will? And how much do you want to ensure your wishes are carried out without tension between those you love most. A will provides you and your loved ones with peace of mind that can’t be valued.

Can you arrange a will yourself?

Yes. You just need to know what to do and set aside the time to do it (easier said than done). That’s one of the reasons why most people put it off. So why not book an appointment and we can get you sorted in one simple sitting.

Do you need a specialist wills and estate lawyer to arrange a will?

Technically, no. But in our experience, too many lawyers overcomplicate the process. And as a result, you end up overpaying for a will that is ambiguous and vulnerable to questions. We simplify the process and provide a will that is clear and concise.
